Arrangements have been made for the 30th reunion of the USS Springfield BLUEJACKETS. Our reunion will be held in New Orleans, Louisiana on 7/24 – 7/27, 2025, (Thursday – Sunday).

Reunion to receive the rate of $105/night (plus tax of 14.75%) for a Deluxe King or 2 queen double. For a King Suite the rate is $129/night (plus tax of 14.75%). Room rate includes Parking and WIFI. Room rates available 3 days +/- event dates.
A FREE Hot Breakfast is served in the hotel breakfast area. An airport shuttle is not available, but I’m told UBER is available at a reasonable cost. The hotel is about 8 miles from the Louis Armstrong – New Orleans Airport.
IMPORTANT! Hotel reservations must be made by 07/08/2025; thereafter reservations will be made on a space-available basis only. Reunion Registration is due by June 27th. NOTE: Hotel is credit card only. No gift cards or cash.
We will enjoy an evening social gathering on Thursday July 24, 2025 in the Mardi Gras Ballroom with a light buffet, cash bar and listen to a 3 piece combo provide some live New Orleans Jazz.
Friday evening it’s dinner “on your own”. There are several restaurants close by and a shopping center, Two tours are being offered.
Tour One, Friday, July 25, 2025, we will visit the World War II Museum rated the #1 attraction in New Orleans. The bus will leave the hotel at 9:00 a.m. and return to the hotel at 2:00 p.m. To accommodate those who would like to return to the hotel earlier a bus will be available for a return trip. Discounted museum tickets will be available, but a highly recommended 40-minute movie is extra $.
Tour Two, Saturday, July 26, 2025, we will travel by bus to enjoy a Mississippi River Cruise on the Natchez Steamboat that includes lunch. We will return to the hotel about 1:30-2:00p.m.
Saturday evening will be our Banquet that includes our keynote speaker, a former USS Springfield enlisted shipmate as a Radarman and became a Navy Chaplain. Following, we will have dinner, music and dancing. .
Saturday Night Buffet: (Caesar Salad. Slow Cooked Pot Roast with Au Jus, Grilled Chicken with Lemon-Butter Sauce. Garlic Mashed Potatoes, Honey-Glazed Carrots. Chocolate Cake. Fresh Baked Rolls, Iced Water, Iced Tea, Coffee.
